Support & Assistance
We work hard to support our military families. Below are details describing various programs that we have created to make your stay in our community more enjoyable.
Deployed Spouse Program
We understand that various circumstances can make it difficult to do certain tasks. If your spouse is deployed and you would like assistance to perform a few tasks, please call our Community Management Office and we will be happy to assist. Extended lawn care, even for fenced-in yards is included in the program. Additional assistance includes hanging pictures, curtains, etc. Activities and events geared towards spouses and children of deployed service members are also available through the LifeWorks program.
Self Help Store
70 Jefferson Ave. (Facilities Compound)
Hours of Operation:
In order to assist our residents with household tasks, we have established a Self Help Store. The Self Help Store provides equipment and supplies at no additional cost to residents.
Items may include: personal protective equipment (ear plugs, dust masks, goggles), grass seed, loam (bagged top soil), bark or bagged mulch, leaf rakes, garden rakes, spade shovels, lawn mower, weed trimmers, hedge trimmers, yard sprinklers, garden hoses, spray nozzles, wheelbarrows, compact fluorescent light bulb exchange program, HVAC filters, range hood filters, touch-up paint, disposable paint brush, etc.
Self Help Policies
NSA Saratoga Springs Homes residents over the age of 18 are permitted to borrow items from the Self Help store given that they sign a Self Help Store Receipt provided by the facilities staff as well as a Hold Harmless Release form. The resident is responsible for returning the item(s) in a timely manner and in the same condition with which it was borrowed.
